Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, salt, and spices.
  3. Cut in cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Gently stir in grated apple and buttermilk until just combined.
  5. Turn dough onto a floured surface and pat into a rectangle about 1 inch thick. Cut out biscuits using a round cutter.
  6. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
