Ingredients

  • 1 box (11 oz) vanilla wafers or graham crackers
  • 4 medium ripe bananas, sliced
  • 2 boxes (3.4 oz each) instant banana pudding mix
  • 2¾ cups cold milk
  • 1 block (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the banana pudding mix and cold milk for about 2 minutes until thickened. Set aside.
  2. In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth. Add the vanilla extract and fold in half of the whipped topping gently.
  3. In a 9×13-inch baking dish, layer vanilla wafers or graham crackers at the bottom. Spread half of the cream cheese mixture over the cookies followed by half of the sliced bananas and half of the banana pudding.
  4. Repeat the layering process with remaining ingredients.
  5. Top with remaining whipped topping and garnish with crushed cookies and extra banana slices.
  6. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
