Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup white granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup fresh cherries (pitted and quartered)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, mix melted butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and eggs until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips and cherries.
  5. Use a cookie scoop to drop dough onto the prepared sheets, leaving space between each cookie.
  6. Bake for 13–15 minutes until set but still soft in the center. Sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top while warm.
  7. Let cool on the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
