  • 1 1/22 pounds flank steak
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup reduced sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl or bag, mix together spice rub ingredients.
  2. In a large freezer bag, combine marinade ingredients and add spice mix. Seal with the steak inside and marinate in the fridge for 4-12 hours.
  3. Before grilling, create a spice rub by mixing remaining spices with olive oil.
  4. Preheat grill to medium-high heat and remove the steak from the marinade.
  5. Grill each side for about 5-6 minutes until desired doneness is reached (130-135°F for medium rare).
  6. Let steak rest for 10 minutes before slicing against the grain.
