- 2 lbs ground beef (80/20 blend)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup Italian breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup milk
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (divided)
- 2 cups marinara sauce (plus extra for serving)
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, eggs, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, milk, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until just mixed.
- Spread half of the meat mixture in the baking dish. Layer with 1 cup mozzarella cheese, chopped spinach, and half a cup of marinara sauce.
- Top with the remaining meat mixture and cover well. Spread another half cup of marinara on top.
- Bake for 45–50 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Sprinkle remaining mozzarella over the top and bake for an additional 5–10 minutes until melted.
- Let rest for about 10 minutes before garnishing with parsley and serving warm.
