Ingredients
- 1 Earl Grey tea bag (or 1 teaspoon loose leaf)
- 1 cup water
- 4–5 fresh cherries, pitted and halved
- 2 tablespoons water (for simmering cherries)
- 1/2 cup milk (any type)
- 1–2 teaspoons vanilla syrup
- Ice (optional for iced version)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine halved cherries with 2 tablespoons water. Simmer over medium heat for 3-5 minutes until soft; mash gently to release juices.
- In another pot, bring 1 cup water to a boil. Add the Earl Grey tea and steep for 3-5 minutes. Remove tea bag or strain if using loose leaves.
- Add milk to the saucepan with softened cherries and heat gently while stirring. Do not boil.
- Stir in 1-2 teaspoons of vanilla syrup for sweetness. Pour brewed tea into a mug and strain in cherry-milk mixture, pressing on cherries.
- Serve hot immediately or cool down for iced tea.
