  • 1½ teaspoons baking powder

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour (regular or gluten-free)
  • 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • For the cinnamon swirl: 4 tablespoons melted vegan butter, ⅓ cup light brown sugar, 2 tablespoons cinnamon
  • For frosting: ¾ cup powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons melted vegan butter, 2 oz softened vegan cream cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, combine mashed bananas, melted vegan butter, maple syrup, almond milk, and vanilla extract until well mixed.
  3. Add baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, salt, flour, and oats to the wet mixture; stir until just combined.
  4. Pour half of the batter into the loaf pan. Mix together melted vegan butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon for the swirl; spread half over the batter.
  5. Layer remaining batter on top and finish by spreading the rest of the cinnamon swirl mixture.
  6. Bake for about 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let cool before applying frosting made from powdered sugar, melted vegan butter, and cream cheese.
