  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mash bananas in a bowl, then mix in melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  4. Gradually combine dry ingredients with the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Prepare the cream cheese filling by blending cream cheese with granulated sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
  6. Layer half of the banana batter in the pan, sprinkle with half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture, spread cream cheese filling on top, add remaining banana batter and finish with the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  7. Swirl gently with a knife and bake for 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
