  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 3 large ripe bananas (mashed)
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×5 loaf pan by spraying it with non-stick spray and lining the bottom with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In another bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth. Mix in melted butter and brown sugar until well combined.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing after each addition. Stir in sour cream and vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center. Let cool before slicing.
