  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for peanut butter layer)
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8 inch baking pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, beat melted butter and granulated sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time and stir in vanilla extract; mix well.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until combined.
  5. In another bowl, mix peanut butter and powdered sugar until smooth.
  6. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan. Dollop the peanut butter mixture on top and cover with remaining brownie batter. Swirl gently with a knife.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs. Let cool before slicing.
