- 1 tsp. corn starch
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup cold, unsalted butter, cubed
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup white granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 cups milk chocolate chips (or semi-sweet)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cake flour, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Using a stand mixer with the paddle attachment, cream the cold butter until smooth. Gradually add the brown sugar and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and egg yolk; mix until just combined.
- Slowly incorporate the dry ingredients until fully mixed in; gently fold in the chocolate chips.
