Description

Limoncello is a delightful homemade lemon liqueur that captures the essence of fresh lemons in every sip. Its vibrant citrus flavor makes it a perfect way to conclude meals and adds a refreshing touch to any occasion, from festive gatherings to casual dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 5 large organic lemons (unwaxed)
  • 500 ml high-proof vinegar
  • 600 g sugar
  • 750 ml water

Instructions

  1. Thoroughly wash the lemons, scrubbing the skin to remove impurities.
  2. Peel the lemons with a vegetable peeler, taking only the yellow zest.
  3. In a glass jar, combine the lemon peels with pure vinegar. Seal tightly and let it macerate in a dark place for 30 days.
  4. After 30 days, strain the mixture to remove lemon peels.
  5. In a pot, combine water and sugar, bringing it to a boil to create syrup. Allow it to cool completely.
  6. Mix the cooled syrup with the strained lemon infusion and let rest for an additional 40 days in a dark place before serving.
