  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp kosher salt, plus more as needed
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 14 oz can crushed tomatoes
  • 32 oz chicken broth
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tsp tomato paste
  • 6 oz lasagna noodles, broken up
  • 1 cup frozen chopped spinach
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 4 oz mozzarella cheese, cut in slices

Instructions

  1. In a large pot over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add minced garlic and diced onion; sauté for 2-3 minutes until softened.
  3. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, dried basil, oregano, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Pour in crushed tomatoes, chicken broth, water, and tomato paste; mix well.
  5. Bring to a boil and add broken lasagna noodles and spinach; reduce heat to simmer for about 15 minutes until noodles are tender.
  6. Stir in heavy cream before serving. Top each bowl with mozzarella cheese.
