Ingredients

  • 450 g wheat flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 175 g sugar
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 125 g butter
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 400 g butter
  • 10 ml milk
  • 350 g brown sugar
  • 1 vanilla pod
  • 400 g ground hazelnuts (or walnuts/almonds)
  • 400 g chopped nuts (or almonds)
  • 6 tbsp apricot jam (or any other variety)
  • 400 g dark chocolate coating

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 175°C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine flour, sugar, eggs, butter, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Knead until smooth and roll out evenly on the baking sheet.
  3. Spread jam over the dough.
  4. In a pot, melt butter with milk and dissolve brown sugar before mixing in nuts and vanilla seeds.
  5. Evenly distribute the nut mixture over the jam-covered dough.
  6. Bake for about 40 minutes until golden brown; let cool slightly before cutting into triangles.
  7. Dip each triangle into melted dark chocolate; allow to set.
