  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 6 medium ripe bananas (mashed)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • ½ cup light brown sugar
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ⅓ cup Nutella

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and prepare a muffin pan with liners.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a stand mixer, combine mashed bananas, melted butter, both sugars, eggs, and vanilla extract; mix on medium speed for about 3 minutes.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until just combined.
  5. Warm Nutella in the microwave until thinned out for easy swirling.
  6. Fill muffin cups three-quarters full with batter and add a dollop of Nutella to each; swirl gently with a toothpick.
  7. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow muffins to cool in the pan for about 15 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
