  • 1 lb ground beef (or turkey/chicken)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, onion, garlic, soy sauce, salt, and pepper until just mixed.
  3. Shape the mixture into small balls (about 1 inch) and place them on a lined baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 20–25 minutes until cooked through and browned.
  5. Meanwhile, prepare the sauce by heating ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce in a saucepan until warmed and slightly thickened.
  6. Once meatballs are baked, combine them with the sauce and serve garnished with green onions or sesame seeds.
