  • 2 tablespoons salted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 125ml mayonnaise
  • 60ml crème fraîche
  • 125ml parmesan cheese, grated
  • 125ml havarti cheese, grated
  • 125ml gruyère cheese, grated
  • 125ml mozzarella cheese, grated
  • 4 slices of sourdough bread

Instructions

  1. Sauté the chicken mushrooms: In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter and olive oil. Add mushrooms, salt, and pepper; cook for about 10 minutes until golden brown. Set aside.
  2. Prepare the cheese spread: In a mixing bowl, mix mayonnaise, crème fraîche, melted butter, garlic, dehydrated onions, black pepper, and all four cheeses until well combined.
  3. Toast the bread: Broil sourdough bread slices in the oven until lightly toasted on both sides.
  4. Assemble the toasts: Mix sautéed mushrooms into the cheese spread and generously spread over each slice of toast.
  5. Broil again: Return to broiler for an additional 3-5 minutes until cheese melts and bubbles.
