  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 3 medium Granny Smith apples (peeled, cored, and diced)
  • ½ cup (1 stick / 113 g) unsalted butter
  • 2 teaspoons heavy cream (room temperature)
  • ½ cup light brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your Bundt pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix granulated sugar and vegetable oil; add vanilla extract and eggs, beating until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt; gradually combine with wet ingredients.
  4. Gently fold in diced Granny Smith apples.
  5. Pour batter into the Bundt pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for about 70 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. For the glaze, melt butter in a saucepan; stir in brown sugar and cream until smooth before adding vanilla extract.
  8. Cool the cake slightly before drizzling with warm caramel glaze.
