  • 225 g whole milk
  • 30 g fresh yeast (or 10 g active dry yeast)
  • 50 g granulated sugar
  • 540 g all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 100 g butter (room temperature)
  • 250 g blueberries
  • 30 g cream cheese
  • 120 g powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Warm the milk to lukewarm and dissolve the fresh yeast in it.
  2. In a stand mixer, combine the yeast mixture with sugar, flour, eggs, and salt; mix until smooth.
  3. Incorporate butter gradually and knead until the dough is elastic.
  4. Allow the dough to rise in a warm place until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
  5. While rising, prepare the blueberry filling by simmering blueberries with sugar, lemon juice, vanilla, and cinnamon until thickened.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread the blueberry filling on top, roll it up tightly, and cut into rolls.
  7. Let them rise again before baking at 190ºC (375ºF) for about 22 minutes.
  8. Prepare the glaze by mixing cream cheese with reserved blueberry jam and powdered sugar; spread over cooled rolls.
